About the illustrator:
Hazel Mitchell spent her childhood messing about on horses. Then she found out she could draw horses, and now she spends most of her time messing about drawing. But she still loves horses! She has illustrated several books for children. Originally from England, she lives and works from Maine with her horses, dogs, cat and the odd snow shovel.
