Great Resource! This book is full of great activities that work well in a variety of settings. A child could work independently or with a parent. It could be a small group resource as well. It could also be used when a child needs a quiet moment to calm down. I especially like the balance of the book. There are pages focused on worries. There are also pages focused on other hard feelings, protective factors, and positive emotions. The book is also suitable for a very broad age range. Small children would need help. I would have no hesitation recommending it's use in all of elementary school through middle school.
Spot on! This book is excellent! I am a mental health counselor and work with college students and could see some of my clients enjoying some of the activities. It can be a great self help book, or would be excellent for a parent to work on with their child or process with a counselor.
LOVE LOVE LOVE This is such a special book! It gets kids thinking about and expressing their emotions through peaceful activities. I am using for all my children (ages 5,7,9,11).
